About Scottish Seabird Centre
In a stunning location overlooking the sea and sandy beaches, you'll
have a great day out at the Scottish Seabird Centre with its exciting
Discovery Centre, Gift Shop and Cafe with open decking over the sea.
Summer
is one of the best times to visit the Scottish Seabird Centre! All the
seabirds are nesting, many with eggs or chicks. The famous Bass Rock
gannets cover the island, described by Sir David Attenborough as "one
of the wildlife wonders of the world". The puffins are enjoying the
sunshine, gathering in large groups on the islands, especially in the
early morning and late afternoon, giving hours of entertainment on our
cameras. The penguin-like guillemots and razorbills pack tightly
together on cliff ledges with their chicks and the eider ducks parade
around the sandy bays with their large families of ducklings. There
have also been several recent sightings of dolphins and porpoises.
